Premier's Gala Concerts
For 34 years, the Premier's Gala Concerts have been delivering high-quality, free Australian variety concerts, featuring Australia's best and upcoming musical theatre and recording artists.
The Premier's Gala Concerts are a popular free event for seniors, produced by the NSW Government. More than 30,000 people attended four concerts held on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March 2017 at the new International Convention Centre Theatre.
The concerts celebrated some of the greatest hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s, showcasing everything from enchanting love songs to Rock N Roll hits from classic artists like Roy Orbison, the Four Seasons, Etta James, the Righteous Brothers, the Bee Gees, and ABBA.
Audiences were thrilled with an extravaganza featuring some of Australia’s finest voices including Andrew O’Keefe, Kate Ceberano, Damien Leith, Boys in the Band and The Diamonds.

The concert received rave reviews. Here are some comments from happy patrons who attended the event:
...I wanted to say thank you for the very best Seniors' Concert we have ever been fortunate enough to attend. Every year we say fantastic, but this year, with Andrew O'Keefe and cast, the show was absolutely outstanding. Thank you for all the effort and team work that went into making the day so enjoyable for all seniors and especially for my friends and me.
I am just writing to say how much my husband and I enjoyed the concert this morning. All the entertainers gave magnificent performances and it was a wonderful opportunity to see the new Convention Centre. Everyone was very helpful showing us to our gate/seat etc. The expo next door was also very informative and everyone was really friendly.
Many thanks to all concerned for a lovely day out.

I attended the Premier’s concert today and I would like to say a big THANK YOU. From the time I got off the light rail until I got to my seat I was greeted by friendly smiley faces who were assisting people in every way. Congratulations on a fantastic show and a job well done.
