Viva Las Vegas - 2015 Premier's Seniors Festival Gala Concerts

An image which reads: Viva Las Vegas...There are good shows, there are great shows, and then there are...Vegas shows!!!

The 2015 Seniors Festival Concerts were held 17 - 18 March 2015 at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney.

The bright lights of the entertainment capital of the world were switched on this year with a spectacular Viva Las Vegas themed show paying tributes to the greatest stars of the Las Vegas Strip, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and the Rat Pack, Elvis Presley, Cher, Barry Manilow, Liza Minnelli, Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey.

Audiences were thrilled with an extravaganza featuring some of Australia’s finest voices including Michael Falzon, Kate Maree Hoolihan, Matt Lee, Samantha Hagen and host Jonathan Biggins, joined by the ‘Las Vegas showband’, backing vocalists from the Australian Institute of Music, dancers from ED5International, and one of Australia’s premier aerial acts Debonair, who performed graceful and astonishing feats high above the stage.

With four sold-out concerts at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney, close to 40,000 seniors were in attendance at this year’s concerts. Patrons were welcomed to the arena by the ever-popular NSW Police Band and had the chance to visit the NSW Seniors Festival Expo, held alongside the gala concerts. Featuring information, giveaways and competitions from NSW Government, commercial and community exhibitors, the Expo continues to grow in size and popularity.
